Incredible!
Macklemore was great and so talented; Kings Elliott didn't sing the "f" word once himself but would let the crowd choose to sing it instead, which I felt lent to the family feel of the show and really appreciated, and whether intentional or not was incredibly courteous. I took my four boys here for their first concert. What a great way to introduce them to live music. It did NOT disappoint.
Despite recovering from a sinus infection and feeling anxious about the performance, Dan rose to the challenge of putting on an incredibly entertaining show. They are truly talented artists and the Don Toliver, wow. I hadn't realized it was the opening show of their tour, but that added to the experience, as did having them play at "home". The crowd was incredible, such a great vibe.
My only qualm was that the t-shirts cost more than our tickets! It will be a cherished memory. Granted it has been a while since I went to a concert that wasn't at DV8 or Kilby Court, but $60 for a t-shirt was a bit surprising. Would've loved to get them for my kids but couldn't bring myself to spend that much (especially on a white one!!). Thanks to those who made this show possible, I would go to this show every year if I could.
